WELCOME
Sparc enriches the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by enabling them to successfully live, learn, work and socialize in the community.

Founded in 1951, Sparc is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Springfield area. For over 60 years, we've been dedicated to helping individuals find work and outlets to build self-confidence and independence, and live up to their potential.

Our work center provides training opportunities to help both individuals and local businesses. Our programs provide work to improve ability to engage in productive work activities through a focus on cooperation, attendance, productive capacity, and task completion. Individuals also recieve assistance and training in physical fitness, computer skills, work-place relationships, volunteerism, self-advocacy, personal care and other hobbies. Building these skills allows individuals to find and maintain a place in a work atmosphere and provides assistance to local businesses looking for help.

The outdoor event had perfect weather, relaxing music by Lowder & Manning, and delicious lobster with all of the fixin's. Thank you Springfield for your support.
At Sparc we ask the individuals we support to face their fears and challenges everyday... More than 40 rapellers raised $1000 each for the opportunity to rappel off of the roof of The Abraham Lincoln Hotel-Doubletree. This fundraiser, in its first year, raised over $60,000.00. Thank you to all who made that possible.

Thank you to the Springfield community for providing a Merry Christmas to the individuals supported by Sparc. By participating in choosing a name off of the Sparc Angel Tree, your Christmas spirit provided individuals supported by Sparc the opportunity to wake up on Christmas morning with very special gifts under their tree just for them. Happy Holidays to you and yours and lots of Happiness in 2017!
